And The Angels Kept Cringing

Heaven is like a night club

Only the selected few get in

And if you don’t have what it takes

You head south

With all the angels snickering

As you’re turned away

To start the long walk

To your future destination

And as you glance back

The angels are cringing

Talking in whispers

Huge smiles on their face

Knowing it’s you they laugh at

So please remember

The walk will always be easier

If you don’t look back

Back to the gates

The snickers and smiles

And above all else

The angels

Who are still cringing

Until, to you, they’re out of sight

Those Poor Souls Who Got A Bad Shake

Sometimes I think death may be better

Better for the select few

For the people of the world, like you

And there are quite a few of you

It’s not your fault, you see?

You just got a bad shake

Loaded dice, which never roll your way

Life must seem long

Overbearing and distasteful

Leaving a bad smell in your nose

I hope I don’t end up like you

I would rather burn down to the earth

At 200 mph

With no parachute, and no chance for a bounce

Then to waste away

Like you and the others

The poor souls for whom

Death is better
