The Silent Sea

The silent sea

Is a sea worth keeping an eye on

She’s been known to be a crafty girl

At times, calm

Often stubborn

And occasionally violent

Surprise is this girl’s middle name

She can speak in the softest of tones, at first

But she can spill out a yell in the most dramatic of fashions,

Which can deafen a person in his or her right mind

So take care of her,

And never take her for granted

She’ll turn on you,

Even with all your love and heart exposed

I know this because I have seen it,

Been there and been through it

But like any lover scorned,

Anyone who’s been dumped without reason,

I, like so many,

Keep going back

Hoping for a second chance,

Another shot to make it right

And every time I do go back,

I always seem to find her,

Calm as can be

And I breathe a headful of hope and promise

But like I said,

I’m a fool and I’ve been here before

And I know I can never leave her,

And I know I can’t leave here with my pride,

My mind,

Or my heart

Broken, again

Drawn In

The room was dimly lit, at best

I could only see a few feet in front of me

But that’s where she sat

She smoked long cigarettes,

Which were set between skinny fingers,

finished in a french tip style

She took deep inhales,

Followed by longer pauses

Then she would release

All the smoke from her lungs,

Creating a swirl of blue-grey clouds

Which transformed into beautiful sculptures

And while they only lasted for a moment,

I was drawn in

As deep as her inhale,

Only to be blown away,

In the end

Mother Nature’s Endlessness

Endless dreams

Always return

To places I’ve never touched, been

But always continue to look for

Quiet mountains

Silent beaches

Deepest forests

Endless visions

Never focused

Lost forever in all their clarity

Inhale, soft closing of my eyes

Reveals sights

True beauty

Raw emotions

Endless secrets

Whispered softly

So only she could possibly hear

How she swiped my very soul

Quiet love

For none

But her

She Demands I Write For Her

So I am to write

So to your fare

So to your good looks, beauty

So shut me out

Do it, again

Sloppy writing

So as I am writing

You will be happy

Yeah, this is me

So let’s move on

Forge ahead

So you can read into this

Take out what you will

Believe it to be about your beauty

When, in reality

This was written about nothing

Nothing, nothing at all

Around The Corner

There’s a sway to your hips

And I can’t look away

The click of your heels

Are a symphony from angels

Your smile is tempting

As I’m drawn to your lips

But the lies are numerous

And the games are endless

Forever reminders

Of the hell which waits

Just around the corner
